Kwaliteitsniveaus openbare ruimte (punt)

Indeling van de openbare ruimte in Eindhoven in 4 kwaliteitsklassen, op basis van de Visie Openbare Ruimte uit 2006. In deze visie zijn de kwaliteitsniveaus voor inrichting en beheer van de stad benoemd. Deze kwaliteitsniveaus geven richting aan de wijze waarop de openbare ruimte op een bepaalde plek ingericht kan worden. Er wordt onderscheid gemaakt in de inrichtingsniveaus standaard, plus, bijzonder en exclusief. Alleen voor het inrichtingsniveau exclusief geldt dat ook het beheer van de locatie exclusief is. Voor de overige kwaliteitsniveaus geldt beheer op basisniveau.

Let op: voor een gebiedsdekkend en nauwkeurig begrensd overzicht van de kwaliteitsniveaus openbare ruimte is er een vlakkenkaart. De vlakken kun je ophalen via: KwaliteitsniveausOR (MapServer) (eindhoven.nl).

Het plusniveau is voor openbare ruimte met een speciale betekenis voor de wijk of buurt. Het kenmerkt zich door bv aangepaste bestrating of straatmeubilair. Wel geldt dat er sprake moet zijn van standaard (niet speciaal ontworpen) materialen. Een bijzonder inrichtingsniveau is van toepassing op openbare ruimte die ondersteunend is aan karakteristieke gebouwen of stedelijke voorzieningen op bijzondere plekken in de stad. Voor deze plekken wordt uitgegaan van luxere inrichtingselementen. Exclusief is van toepassing op locaties in de stad waar de openbare ruimte zelf imagodrager is. Het zijn typisch Eindhovense plekken. Materiaalgebruik en inrichting stralen een hoog ambitieniveau uit en mogen speciaal voor de plek ontworpen zijn.
