Camera's op kruispunten

Information Table Map Camera kaart Export API

Op alle kruispunten met verkeerslichten plaatst de gemeente een of twee camera’s om de doorstroming van het verkeer te kunnen monitoren. Een keer per jaar wordt verkeerskundig onderzoek gedaan om de wachtrijen te meten en de verkeerslichten goed af te stellen.

De camera’s worden ook gebruikt om klachten over de verkeerslichten te behandelen. De camerabeelden worden niet opgenomen: ze worden alleen af en toe op afstand live bekeken door een vijftal geautoriseerde medewerkers van de gemeente. Het is onmogelijk om bij woningen rondom het kruispunt naar binnen te kijken, omdat ramen automatisch door software worden ‘geblurd' met behulp van privacy masking.
